Techniques for Intra-Venous Anesthesia Induction on Feral Cats

(This is a quick technique that safely allows intravenous anesthetic induction of feral cats with minimal handling and while ensuring safety to the handler. Intra-venous injection not only offers additional anesthetic safety but is associated with a rapid anesthetic recovery offering additional safety to the cat and less post-operative human handling. Cats given intra-venous anesthetic induction are fully recovered from the anesthetic effects and are normally thermo-regulating body temperature by 2-4 hours post anesthesia. Technically speaking these cats can be safely released at this time, thus saving days of post operative care required by the long anesthetic recovery from intra-muscular anesthetic inductions.)
